Our Programs

Through Cooking for Real, we provide age and skill appropriate cooking and nutrition classes for adults and children.  During each hands-on class students select, prepare, cook, serve, and eat a variety of healthy, nutritious foods.  Menus are geared specifically for each age/skill group and contain sustainably grown, whole foods.  Students will learn a variety of cooking skills, menu planning, whole food nutrition and more...



Hands-on Cooking and Nutrition for Kids -
great for in-school field trips, camp activities, educational conferences and wellness programs. Our programs are designed to be developmentally appropriate for all populations and age groups.

In these 45-60 min. programs, Cooking For Real will engage the students in whole food cooking and nutrition beginning with where and when the crops are grown and harvested, how the ingredients are produced, preparation, cooking, and the best part of the process, eating! 

Every program includes kid-friendly recipes and handouts and ongoing recipe support via email and website. All recipes are locally and seasonally sourced where possible.

Cooking For Real brings all equipment, materials and supplies. All we need is a table, an outlet and hungry minds and bodies.

These 45/60/90-minute Cooking and nutrition programs include real time demo and sampling of one or two recipes, cutting edge whole food nutritionl, farm to table education, and seasonal, local food info and sourcing.
